Cornerstone Consulting Solutions was founded by Julie Buhl, a finance professional who has spent her career inside privately held companies doing CFO-level work — cash strategy, forecasting, lender and bonding relationships, and the analysis behind major decisions — because owners kept asking the same thing: "Can you just look at this for me?"
Small businesses need the same financial discipline larger companies take for granted — reliable closes, real forecasts, someone who will push back on a bad idea — but they rarely need it forty hours a week. A fractional arrangement gives you a seasoned financial professional's judgment without the full-time salary, and it scales up or down as the business does.
Much of our experience is in construction and other project-based businesses, where job costing, WIP, and bonding requirements make the accounting harder than it looks. We're equally at home with service companies, distributors, and family-owned firms working through a transition.
